The dreaded double chin can make you feel self-conscious and can make you avoid taking pictures. Although a double chin can be frustrating, there are some things you can do to get rid of it. This isn’t going to happen overnight, but with a little bit of time and effort you can see big changes take place!
1. Drink Water
A big reason why you might have a double chin is because you are bloated. This is a result of drinking soda, eating bad foods, eating a lot of salt and eating a lot of sugar. By drinking more water you will hydrate your skin and get rid of any bloating that was there. Doing this on a regular basis will keep the bloat away and make you look thinner in your face and on your body.
2. Do Facial Exercises
Making different faces will exercise your jaw bone and help build up strength, which can get rid of the fat from under your chin. You can easily find which exercises to do by searching for pictures online. For example, you can do one exercise by opening your mouth as wide as you can.
From here, keep your mouth open and pretend like you are scooping something with your bottom jaw. Do this fifteen times and you are done! There are a lot of great exercises you can do that will only take you around five minutes per day.
3. Lose Weight!
You might not want to go on a diet and exercise, but these things are going to help you lose weight. The best part about this is that most people lose weight in their face before they do on the rest of their body. Even one or two pounds can result in your double chin being diminished or not very noticeable. Just try cutting a few hundred calories per day by either exercising or eating less. You might be surprised at how much of a difference this makes in a few weeks.
4. Use Makeup Effectively
Makeup isn’t going to help you get rid of a double chin, but it can help make it less noticeable. Start by grabbing a bronzer from your local drug store. From here, brush that onto the bottom of your chin and around the jawline. After this, use a blending brush to blend that color into your neck and chest. This will darken the jawline so that the second chin isn’t as dramatic as it once was. A nice tan can also help and will make the rest of your body look thinner as well.
– Better posture can also eliminate the way your double chin looks. In addition to this, you will look thinner when you’re standing up straight all the time.
– Sometimes a double chin is genetic and there is no way to avoid it. In this case, you might want to consider a cosmetic procedure that will reduce the appearance of it.
– Avoid using bronzers with shimmer or sparkle in them. Matte colors are best because they don’t attract attention to the area you want to hide.
