How to Reduce Hair Loss

You’re constantly finding hair on the floor, on your shirts, in your bed and everywhere else you look. Hair loss can not only be stressful, it can be embarrassing.

If you want to stop this before it gets worse, then try following these tips to help. They may be able to prevent any further hair from falling out so you can enjoy your locks for longer.

1. Use Natural Shampoo and Conditioners

Natural shampoos and conditioners are great for your hair because they aren’t made with chemicals that can make it fall out. Yes, you will spend more money on these products, but it is worth the extra expense. These products are better quality and will likely help nourish your hair instead of cause it to fall out. You can find natural products at most drug stores and grocery stores, but make sure to read the label to make sure the product is truly all natural.

2. Look at Your Diet

Have you been eating a lot less than usual because you’re stressed or on a diet? When you cut your calories or are eating a lot less than normal, then your hair is likely going to fall out as a result. Some people find that they only use a little bit of hair while others will lose handfuls at a time. This could be the reason why you are seeing hair loss, so take a look at your diet if this change was sudden. Your hair falling out could be a signal that you need more nutrients in your diet.

3. Protect Your Hair with Coconut Oil

Whenever you go outside you are exposing your body and hair to pollution. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid this, but there is a way you can help protect your hair. The saying “all that stress is going to make your hair fall out” is not exactly a myth. If you are dealing with a lot of stress at the moment, it could actually be the reason why your hair is thinning. Try and relax as much as you can since there really is no way to live a stress-free life for most people. Sitting in a bath, doing yoga or practicing meditation are all things that can reduce your stress levels and help prevent your hair from coming out.

Scalp massages are great for your head because they help stimulate blood flow and they also feel really good! You can either massage your own scalp or have someone else do this for you. Most of these are made with ingredients that will nourish your hair and scalp so it’s healthier than ever.

6. Water Temperature in the Shower

When you take a shower, is the water you use scalding hot? This extreme heat is actually not very good for your hair, which is why you should lower the temperature. Warm water is best for your hair and won’t cause any damage to the scalp. Once you’re done washing your hair you can turn the temperature back up so you can enjoy the heat you like on your body.

7. See Your Doctor

Let’s face it; hair falls out after you reach a certain age. Of course there are those who are lucky enough not to have this happen, but most people will have at least some hair loss throughout their life. If you can’t find any relief from your hair falling out, then go and see your doctor. They may be able to prescribe something to stimulate your hair to grow again.
